Ruth Bader Ginsburg taught at Rutgers Law School in Newark for nine years, 1963-1972. She taught civil procedure and the first women's rights seminar at any law school. She aided the birth of the first student journal on women and the law: the Women's Rights Law Reporter, founded by student Ann Marie Boylan. Ginsburg began her pathbreaking women's rights litigation there. There has been great progress - but much of that is at risk. Rutgers has dedicated the largest and oldest building on campus to her. The dedication ceremony was addressed by the President and Chancellor of the University. It was preceded by a symposium sponsored by the WRLR. It is embedded below. (start at 8:30)
