This man, a truck driver for the furniture company Raymour & Flanagan, with no prior political experience just defeated Stephen Sweeney - a union leader and 12 year. President of the New Jersey Senate. His win is reported HERE in the New York Times.
He has said a few ignorant things but little money was spent - $2,265. His win is evidence of a more or less spontaneous upsurge of resentment and intolerance. Sweeney is a deal-maker, got along with Chris Christie, not a "woke" guy. Just the victim of a regressive surge in the suburban/semi-rural New Jersey electorate.
