I am pleased to report that Chief Justice Stuart Rabner has re-appointed me to a three year term on the Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. The term runs from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016.
The Court has appointed as 2014 ACPE Chair Richard Badolato, former President of the New Jersey State Bar Association. The Vice Chair is Ronald K. Chen, Professor and Acting Dean - Rutgers Law School.
Since 2010 I have served as Chair of the General Conflict of Interest Subcommittee. I have been a member since 2008.
The Committee renders opinions on such matters as the Supreme Court submits to it. The ACPE may accept inquiries from any state, county, or local bar association, or member of the New Jersey bar regarding proper conduct under the Rules of Professional Conduct. Its opinions and actions are subject to review by petition to the Supreme Court. R. 1:19
