My friend Andy Madison and his wife live in Shanghai. Here's his report:
PM 2.5 AQI now over 400 µg/m3 (micrograms per cubic meter). For every broom closet-sized 'section' of air, there are a lot of tiny, sulfurous particulate matter floating around, settling in our hair and mouths -- with an acrid, chemical flavor -- and lungs. Buildings maybe one block away are half-obscured in filth.
Life here has been pretty great, but this is obscene.
