Manufacturing declines have hurt black workers more than white

But Black working class voters haven't gone for demagogues.
The research confirms my experience.  When I first started practicing law in East Orange in 1979  my typical clients were Black men in hazardous, unionized industries, who were married and owned their own homes.  Those opportunities - imperfect as they were - steadily disappeared as plants closed.  - gwc
