"The American Way" - canned goods for Hurricane relief

Canned goods.   It's a sentimental notion that Mitt Romney embraced - but I think it's offensive.  Small time, small town food pantry charity is not what we need for hurricane relief.  We need levees, dams, bridges, buried power lines, a better national health care system, not phony evocations of small town neighborly solidarity. - GWC
