The denigration of President Obama's gun control initiative by GOP leaders is particularly offensive. Even NPR made Republican ridicule not the President's statement the lead story on the very day he teared up when he spoke of the children slaughtered at Newtown, CT. The President announced a modest initiative which was denounced by the dozen GOP candidates for President. As this report makes clear the denunciations of tyranny are so dishonest that it is appalling that even NPR treats them as a legitimate debating point. -gwc
