Howard Zinn: You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train

Howard Zinn was my teacher.  He inspired me.  As the years passed I found his rhetoric too facile.  I became a practical person - an inch at a time, not a practitioner of protest politics.  But the Gaza War has reminded me of why Howard was inspiring.  There is no such thing as neutrality he taught us.  Acquiescence is consent.  You have a duty to act.  And I have.  But in this moving movie I hear Howard saying he thinks the world is upside down  the wrong people are in jail, the wrong people are in charge.  I am not prepared to say that but I appreciate the spirit as I see the leaders of Israel and of the Palestinians making wrong choices.
